지난 6월 2일 금요일, 라이즈는 크리스 로가 새롭게 재탄생시킨 아티스트 스위트 1501호를 공개하며 대중들과 만남의 자리를 가졌습니다.
크리스 로는 특별히 ‘노란색’에 초점을 맞추어 이번 큐레이션을 진행하였으며, 그 안에 시그니처 그래픽 아트와 특유의 질감 표현들을 담아내기도 하였습니다. 눈에 띄는 점은, 벽에 직접 스크린 프린팅 작업을 한 뒤 캔버스 작품과 함께 배치함으로써 벽이 또다른 하나의 액자처럼 보이게끔 연출한 지점입니다. 또, 실크스크린 제판을 하나의 완성물로 담아낸 기발한 작업 방식도 주목할 만한 특징 중 하나입니다.
이번 프로젝트를 통해 독창적이고 친밀하면서도 새로운 영감을 선물해준 크리스에게 다시한번 감사드립니다.
On Friday June 2nd, Chris Ro unveiled to the public the newly renovated Artist Suite. Chris’s special curation focused on the color, Yellow, alongside his signature graphic art and texture focus. One of the standout points from the audience was Chris’s ability to screen print directly onto the wall, creating a frame over the centerpiece as well as the unique usage of the silk screen as a canvas.
