라이즈는 진(zine)을 직접 만들고 편집합니다. 라이즈 크루의 사진이나 일러스트레이션 혹은 라이즈 컬쳐팀이 흥미를 가지는 주제에 대해 만들기도 합니다.

라이즈에서 처음 발간한 진(zine), <이코쟁  I-ko-jaeng >을 소개합니다.

이코쟁 I-ko-jaeng

홍대 전역에는 ‘이코쟁’이라는 이름을 가진 알려지지 않은 아티스트 그래피티와 스티커가 붙어있다.

나는 그 아티스트의 이름,성별, 나이 등을 전혀 모르지만 몇 년 동안 알고 지낸 오랜 친구처럼 친근하게 느껴진다.
횡단보도에서 신호를 기다리다가, 쓰레기를 버릴 때, 심지어 화장실에서도 우연히 이코쟁의 흔적을 발견한다.

이 책은 매우 흔한 스티커와 그래피티에 사로잡혀 책을 만들었다기 보다는 이코쟁의 진정한 아이덴티티에 대한 개인적인 호기심으로부터 시작되었다.
이 책은 우리들이 찍은 이코쟁의 재치와 유머를 즐기는 이미지들의 집합체다.

Let us introduce our first zine <이코쟁 I-ko-jaeng >.

Stickers and graffiti tags by an unknown artist who goes by the moniker “I-ko-jaeng” are all over the Hongdae area.

I don’t know the artist’s name, gender, age or anything at all really. But Ikojaeng now feels like an old friend I’ve known for years. I catch glimpses of the artist’s mark by complete chance while waiting for the signal at a crosswalk, when throwing away trash, and even in bathroom stalls.

This book began out of personal curiosity about Ikojaeng’s true identity, but it turns out that I wasn’t the only one who was captivated by the ubiquitous stickers and tags. This small publication is a collection of images taken by those of us who enjoy the wit and humor of Ikojaeng .
